Vyaapar Technologies ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Vyaapar.com platform (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal information when you use our Platform. This policy applies to all Users including Sellers, Buyers, Resellers, and visitors.
By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Platform.
This Privacy Policy is compliant with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as applicable.
2. Information We Collect
2.1. Information You Provide
- Registration Data: Name, email address, phone number, password, business name, business type, GST number, and referral codes.
- Profile Information: Business description, address, logo, photos, certifications, social media links, payment information (UPI, bank details), and KYC documents (identity proof, business registration).
- Transaction Data: Order details, inquiry messages, quotations, reviews, and support tickets.
- Communication Data: Messages sent through the Platform, emails, and support correspondence.
- Payment Data: Subscription payment details processed through third-party payment gateways. We do not store full credit/debit card numbers on our servers.
2.2. Information We Collect Automatically
- Device Information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, search queries, click patterns, time spent on pages, referral URLs, and interaction timestamps.
- Location Data: Approximate geographic location derived from IP address, and precise location if explicitly permitted by you.
- Cookies and Tracking: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies as described in Section 7.

- Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, respond to legal processes, enforce our rights, and protect against legal liability.

We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
4.1. With Other Users
Seller business information (name, description, products, contact details, reviews, trust scores) is displayed publicly on storefront pages. Buyer names are displayed on reviews. Contact details shared in inquiries and orders are visible to the respective counterparty.
4.2. With Service Providers
We share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Platform, including: hosting providers, email delivery services, payment gateways, analytics services, KYC verification providers, and customer support tools. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
4.3. For Legal Reasons
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, regulatory authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with legal obligations; (b) protect our rights, property, or safety; (c) prevent fraud or illegal activity; or (d) protect the rights of other Users or the public.
4.4. Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and any choices you may have.

5.1. We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
5.2. After account deletion, we may retain certain data in anonymized or aggregated form for analytics and business purposes, and as required by law (including tax records, which are retained for a minimum of 8 years).
5.3. Backup copies may persist in our systems for a reasonable period after deletion for disaster recovery purposes.
